Enfantina

Enfantina forms, in the world of antiquarian books, a field at once tender and scholarly: tales and fables in their first editions, primers and instruction manuals, animated picture books, almanacs and illustrated pictorial bindings intended for the youth of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The very fragility of these objects, often handled by young hands, makes them pieces of singular rarity when they reach us in fine condition.

The collector finds here less erudition than memory: that of a vanished childhood, transmitted through the book, and which the state of preservation, the freshness of the colours, or the presence of an original binding is often enough to render invaluable.
