Botany

Botany is encountered in the antiquarian book trade in the form of regional floras, treatises on medicinal plants, or works richly illustrated with engraved or hand-coloured plates. Its appeal to collectors lies in the delicacy of the colouring, the accuracy of the naturalist, and the rarity of an often limited print run, intended for amateurs and scholars alike.
