Latin literature

Latin literature is found in the antiquarian book trade in the form of editiones principes, annotated reprints, or translations accompanied by the original text, heirs to a philological tradition dating back to the Renaissance. Its bibliophilic interest lies in the quality of the established text, the provenance of the copies and, often, the refinement of the binding that accompanies them — so many traces of an unbroken transmission since Antiquity.
