First illustrated edition, published the same year as the first edition.
The copy is decorated with a wood-engraved illustration at the beginning of each chapter by Arcos, Gambard, Grasset, Jeanniot, Le Natur, Adrien Marie, Merwart, Myrbach, Renouard, Rochegrosse, Roy and Tirado.
Superb work in its curiously unsigned binding, depicting painted foliage - perfectly executed.
