One of 10 copies on Annam vellum paper reserved for the author, the artist, the publisher and their friends — this one marked H.
The work is illustrated with 16 woodcuts by Alexandre Alexeïeff (1901–1982). It is enriched with a superb authorial inscription:
"En souvenir / d'une soirée à la Rotonde / où Satan rôdait autour du cocktail / que l'abbé de l'abbaye buvait / avec échos du jazz de la Cigogne / aux arômes d'une framboise alsacienne / sans un mot / dans le silence du bar / en pensant à Satan / avec toute ma sincère amitié / et dans l'espoir qu'il m'aidera à / revenir consacré dans mon abbaye / Jean Genbach / Paris ce 7 mars 1927".
