Full midnight blue morocco with a pattern of gold bubbles on the boards and spine, smooth spine, author and title stamped in gold, gilt top edge, blue moiré endpapers, untrimmed, slipcase, and case (Barbance).

A superb copy illustrated with 15 etchings by Dignimont.
One of 15 copies on Imperial Japan paper, including one state and two proofs of the rejected plate, one state of the plates, and two suites. Exceptionally enriched with a large original watercolor signed by the artist.
