Full salmon calf, vertical decoration of multicoloured organza ribbons extending onto the doublures, smooth spine with the title in Chinese-style lettering in films of various pearly colours, violet suede endleaves, imitation crocodile-skin box (F. Rousseau, Carlitos – 2003).

Illustrated large-paper edition, with an inscription and a designer binding.
"Un des bons livres de l'artiste" (Carteret).

A fine inscription by Colette for "Monsieur Georges Piedboeuf à qui le rouge va si bien en souvenir cordial de Colette Bruxelles, 7 mai 1932".
