8vo (204 × 137 mm). (3) ff., XXXVI, 730 pp., (2) ff. Full red morocco, covers decorated in fanfare style with gilt arms at centre, spine gilt in compartmented panels with fleur-de-lys tools, gilt rolls at head and foot, gilt edges, gilt roll to board edges and turn-ins; gold dominoté endpapers. Contemporary binding.

Rare and precious armorial copy bearing the arms of Marie-Josèphe de Saxe (1731–1767), wife of Louis, Dauphin of France (son of Louis XV), and mother of Louis XVI, Louis XVIII, and Charles X.

Illustrated with three engravings by Jean-Baptiste Scotin, known as Scotin le Jeune (1678–1740).

A fine devotional book intended for a royal household, beautifully preserved in its eighteenth-century red morocco fanfare binding with rich gilt decoration.

Some small restorations; otherwise a very handsome copy.
