Chocolate half morocco with corners, smooth spine inlaid with a red morocco ribbon bearing the author and title in gilt, top edge gilt (E. Rousselle).
First edition, first issue, in its XIXth century binding (yet, a little later than the book) with inlaid spine.
Rare in this condition and probably one of the only known copies in a binding with an inlaid spine.
A very fine copy, notwithstanding some slight rubbing.
