Glazed calf, triple gilt fillet in a panelled frame, smooth spine gilt, dark-green morocco lettering- and volume-labels, gilt fillet on board edges, blue sprinkled edges, gilt roll-tooling to inner borders (contemporary binding).

The work, in three volumes, features a frontispiece in each volume. The first volume is illustrated with four additional plates: two portraits and two folding scenes. It is further augmented with the notes of J. Godefroy. 

“This edition is noteworthy for its numerous annotations and for the addition of several contemporary pieces that are not found in the first edition issued by the same scholar” (Graesse).

A few minor foxing spots and browned pages; overall, a handsome copy in glazed calf.
