Science Fiction

In the antiquarian book trade, science fiction is encountered above all in the form of first editions, often serialized in magazines before appearing in book form, as well as in correspondence in which the beginnings of a genre long regarded as minor are discussed. The scarcity of print runs and the fragility of illustrated wrappers make this a field in which condition matters as much as the text itself.
