First edition of this monograph devoted to Georges Mathieu.

With an ORIGINAL FULL-PAGE COLLAGE-DRAWING, executed in glitter glue, ink and felt, accompanied by a signed autograph inscription to the deputy Gaston Palewski: "Pour Monsieur et Madame Gaston Palewski / avec les sensibles pensées de Georges Mathieu 73".

An art lover and collector, Gaston Palewski was vice-president of the artistic council of the Musées Nationaux, a free member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, director of the magazine Connaissance des arts, and a juror of the Grand Prix National des Arts.

Dust-jacket slightly soiled, otherwise in fine condition.
