Full green morocco, triple gilt fillet frame with gilt carnations at the corners, richly gilt spine in compartments with a gilt carnation motif in each panel, gilt title, double gilt fillets on turn-ins, elaborate gilt inner dentelle, gilt edges. Binding by Chambolle-Duru.
First edition. Deluxe issue on Japan paper.
With two original watercolours.
André Theuriet, poet and novelist of nature and member of the Académie française, here deploys a refined and sensitive prose deeply rooted in Breton landscapes, following Anne de Ploudaniel at the manor of Kerlaz.
