Françoise Sagan's legendary book, in which she recounts her experience of withdrawal. In 1957, already famous since 1954 for her book Bonjour Tristesse, Françoise Sagan was nearly killed in a car accident. After three days in a coma, the doctors decided to give her Palfium 875 for 3 months. This is the diary of her struggle to detox from this powerful painkiller. Sagan's publisher, René Julliard, showed the diary to Bernard Buffet, who decided to illustrate it with Indian ink drawings on cardboard sheets.

Our unique and sublime book features one of Bernard Buffet's illustrations of the wooden binding. The supple wooden boards demonstrate a breathtaking mastery of bookbinding.

Upper right corner of bookcase slightly bumped, otherwise perfectly preserved and clean.

Monod, 10052.
