After three days in a coma, the doctors decided to give her Palfium 875 for 3 months. This is the diary of her struggle to detox from this powerful painkiller. Sagan's publisher, René Julliard, showed the diary to Bernard Buffet, who decided to illustrate it with Indian ink drawings on cardboard sheets.
