Press & Media

The press and media occupy a singular place in the antiquarian book trade: that of newspapers and gazettes preserved in collections, journalists' manuscripts, correspondence exchanged between editors and colleagues, but also texts that accompanied the birth and rise of new means of diffusion. This theme naturally divides into two sub-themes, journalism and television, each bearing witness to an era and to its own way of reporting on the world.

The bibliophilic interest here lies in the rarity of the surviving issues, in the documentary value of the texts, and in what they reveal of the inner workings of a profession that has, more than any other, shaped the way we view our times.
