History

History, in the antiquarian book trade, is read directly from the sources: manuscripts and correspondence of those who acted or witnessed, first editions of the great narratives and memoirs, archival documents, engravings and maps that accompany the events whose trace they bear. Here the collector seeks not so much the accuracy of the fact as the presence of the one who lived or recounted it.

This broad theme naturally unfolds into several periods and areas of study, one that is intended only to grow over time.
